SME- Empowering India Awards
Small and Medium Enterprises play a vital role for the growth of Indian economy by contributing 45% of the industrial output, 40% of exports, 42 million in employment and create one million jobs every year. SME complement large industries as ancillary units and contribute enormously to the socioeconomic development of the country. SME manufacture more than 8,000 products ranging from traditional to high tech items.
SMEs have always been the backbone of an economy in general and secondary sector in particular. For a capital scarce developing country like India, SMEs are considered as panacea for several economic woes like unemployment, poverty, income inequalities and regional imbalances.Nominate Your Company
With an objective of acknowledging the inestimable contributions by SMEs to various sectors of economy- “SME- Empowering India Awards” has been constituted. This award scheme seeks to recognize the contribution of such SMEs who through their achievements and growth have empowered the nation.
As the world is getting smaller, competition is getting tougher but opportunities are getting bigger. SMEs are utilising latest technologies and systems to grow their companies, increase exports and reach new heights in terms of customer service.
This Award scheme is intended to promote, encourage and recognize the efforts of those SMEs who from a modest beginning have now become a brand name in their respective business vertical. Their success, expansion and sustainable growth rate is an example to other Small Medium Entrepreneurs who want to grow and expand their business dream.
“SME- Empowering India Awards” endeavors to recognize excellence in Indian SME sector by executing a very standardized and rigorous methodology. Applications from firms/ companies would be sought in response to a questionnaire based on quantitative and qualitative aspects of businesses. Applications received would be evaluated by an independent panel of eminent industry experts. Review of this evaluation and decision on final awards would be made by the constituted Jury Panel.
- Expert Committee will select top 3 contestants in each category
- These 3 top nominees will be called for presentation in front of JURY.
- The JURY will select one winner in each category
- The decision of the jury will be final in all respects.
- The Jury will also have the right to visit participating industrial unit or invite them to Delhi for verification of data, if it so desires.
